Oh Amanda!!!! That is so.... lovely.... and he sounds so fab! Enjoy.. enjoy.... I don't know you from Eve but I feel sure you deserve this! I love the way he said he feels "hopeful"! That is so much nicer and more appropriate than anything else he could have said. I think he must be at just the right age to have lived enough life to know and recognise what is really important and the difference between something that is just a bit of fun and something with more potential.

I hope you have a brilliant Christmas. Your thread has given me a really warm glow.. I 'm not even jealous , just really happy for you. xxxx

Just kicked my parents-in-law out of the house (told them the traffic would be really bad) JUST so I could look at this thread and get an update from Princess Amanda.
Amanda - he sounds so lurvely, and you sound so happy. Long may it last.
Now, I need to go and buy a hat (I presume the church will have three sides: Bride, Groom, Mumsnet?)
