at lots of shagging

Sheila · 18/12/2006 15:47

Have been silently reading this thread and feeling very envious . Not a sniff of a shag at my Xmas party.

Anyway the shag or not on the first date prob. is tricky isn't it? If you think this could turn into a LTR you could say you'd like to take a step back for now to get to know each other better, although you already know each other quite well, don't you?! I'd play it by ear I guess and see how you feel on the night...

jeangenie · 18/12/2006 15:48

what a fabulous thread, has really brightened up today

had to laugh at the "do I shag him after the first date" concern

am still chckling at that

dollybird · 18/12/2006 15:49

You'll be gagging for it by next week! Oh, what a shame you'll HAVE to stay over

busybusymum · 18/12/2006 15:53

oh its like "An officer and a gentlemen" all over again!!

naughtynoonoo · 18/12/2006 15:54

Good for you Amanda. So glad you had a great time, he seems like quite a catch and he is probably thinking the same about you - good luck to you both. Its like coming to the end of a book / programme and the next episode is not out for another week, but normally if we have E4 we get to see it earlier - not the case here sadly. Lovely thread!

StrawberrySnowflakes · 18/12/2006 15:57

ok, if your stuck for outfit and cash, what size are you..see if we can offer any help to make you look fab for dinner..wont need the clothes after dinner tho it sems!

StrawberrySnowflakes · 18/12/2006 15:58

we can all actually picture him now cant we??...we all have an ideal of what he looks like dont we..and he's gorgeous and suave isnt he

naughtynoonoo · 18/12/2006 15:59

He may even ask you what you want for Christmas - Dress if he asks! Lol out three date rule before you shag, what was it on Friday night a three drink rule!!!

naughtynoonoo · 18/12/2006 16:00

MOre info on what he is like, is he like hugh Grant in Bridget Jones, or more a colin firth type or are you leaving it to our imaginations. This is sooo exciting for us all (as well as you)!

marymillington · 18/12/2006 16:00

he cancelled his date on saturday, ergo, he likes her big time

how very marvellous

expatinscotland · 18/12/2006 16:12

3 date rule!

Who needs it?

I mean, what if, between the 2nd and 3rd date, he got hit by a bus?

You'd forever kick yourself for not finding out if he was a dynamo between the sheets/on the desk/etc.

He'd always be 'The One Who Got Hit by a Bus'.

Carpe diem!

God, I have never adhered to the 3 date rule, but then I'm a brazen hussy.

expatinscotland · 18/12/2006 16:14

Pay for my half?!

Erm, NO! Just let it flow.

As to what to wear, something that you can slide out of easily, so it falls in a graceful, shimmering pool at your feet.

expatinscotland · 18/12/2006 16:15

Do a few pints in a pub after a chance meeting on a bus count as a date?

Skyler · 18/12/2006 16:16

Ooo, I am loving this. Fantastic result Amanda!!!

noddyholder · 18/12/2006 16:19

By the way Amanda - I met my dh on a Thursday and cancelled a date with another bloke on the Saturday. As soon as I met dh I just knew that no one could be as lovely and fab as him. Perhaps that's what your bloke thought....

Sigh. This is just soooo lovely.

Blondilocks · 18/12/2006 16:37

Only just found this post. It sounds like he likes you! I'd just go for something smart. It doesn't matter whether it's new or not.

Hope you have a great date.

NotSoSilentMhamaiNight · 18/12/2006 16:39

Amanda you've made my day! I'm in a similiar position, about to have a first date, it's great being distracted! Can't wait for the update. Way to go girl!
