New laptop - how do I print with no parallel port?

These new fangled things! do I print now using the usb port??

you plug the usb cable into the pc and the printer and then just set it up normally.

Obviously if your printer doesn't have a usb port then you are stuck. But you should still probably be able to use the parallel port instead.

Can I get a cable with usb for PC end and parallel for printer end?

Ahhhh, wish I'd thought of that before Ispent £50 on a new printer last week after canging my computer!!
