Sorry Katie, am on last week before mat leave, and can't inspire myself let alone anyone else.........do you think its just a blip or have you been not enjoying it for a while??

I think I have to seriously think about doing something else when this mat leave is over. I seem to have lost my inspiration permanently.

Set yourself small and achievable targets throughout the day. I work from home (when working, not at the mo hence hours on mn)so have to discipline self

I find if I don't the day just drifts away

So for eg

if it's 12.30 I say to myself - you must do x which should take half an hour, by lunchtime (and then if x takes 2 hrs I have to have late lunch, if half an hour can have at 1).

Or I will not go on mumnset until I have done x, y and z.

Always have to do list for each working day.

read a motivational book (from the library or amazon). although you might not follow all they say in there, it does give you a boost and makes you feel like you can do so much more. it's amazing how much more you can do when you learn that it's only up to you and you have the power to change your own world. or do some exercise?! phisical activity makes you feel better about everything and you'll feel re-energized.

Definitely write lists - even of the simplest things. You can then tick those off and feel (and can see) you've achieved things. Lots of sympathy though, find it very, very easy to be distracted.

thanks ladies,
CD _ I work from home too and although I like it generally sometimes it does my head in and I do ANYthing to avoid work, go shopping, go for a sandwich, do the washing blah blah.
the suggestion of setting yourself targets to achieve a certain task by a certain time is good I think.

I just feel a bit bleurghhh about it at the mo IFYKWIM
