Fancy dress disco - help!!

Next Friday dd is going to a school disco. Its fancy dress but with a character theme. She has a lovely Chinese outfit, a sort of short dress with trousers underneath which she is desperate to wear. The thing is they're supposed to go as a character from a TV show, cartoon, film, book, popstar...
Anyone any ideas who she could be (she's 6).
All help very gratefully received as we're really stuck.

Does it look anything like Lilo from Lilo and Stich?
(I know she's hawaian (sp?) but we could need to clutch at straws here...)

I thought of Mulan and dh said Lilo and Stich but we haven't seen either (dd is only just beginning to like films). So I think if you both mentioned them we'll take a trip to the video library tomorrow and get them out.
