i'm having my eyebrows waxed

by 16 yold at local college

and have mnet do on saturday.

on the upside i wont have to feign surprise at seeing anyone.

never had it done before - can i swear?.

I have it done regularly as my eyesight is bad and glasses get in the way when trying to pluck (can't tolerate contact lenses).

It does hurt a bit but I've never sworn yet and believe me I swear frequently and know some choice swear words picked up from construction sites.

I had mine done by a nearly-qualified person yesterday. The shape is great but it took about 18hrs for the redness to subside, think she pressed quite hard. Wondering if this one might turn out to be permanent in fact .
Thing is you can never go back once you start eyebrow shaping, you see the regrowth everytime you look in the mirror and it makes you paranoid. But I find somehow by revealing those browbones it highlights your cheek bones, which can't be bad.

I did mine at home with strips, it was Ok once I trimed the strips to the right shape. They caught my eye lid and made it look like I had love bits on it. But as I say once I shaped them it was fine. I just pluck any that grow in to keep them to the same shape.

Oh and yes you will swear, but only hurts for a second .

I saw a woman in a shop the other day and she had obviously just had her eyebrows and tash waxed, she was very pale but her skin was angry red at the eyebrows and upper lip.

It will be fine. Eyebrows are so easy to wax. I used to be one of those girls at college practising on people. Never cocked up an eyebrow wax, it was the bikini waxes I used to make a pigs ear out of, left one poor lady bruised .

LOL custardo. That's why I've got eyebrows like big caterpillars at the moment, I put eyebrow waxing up there with a trip to the dentist.

My friend waxes my eyebrows for me, she's a fully trained beauty therapist. It's fab, takes about 5 mintues and it's done.
