Any recommendations re christening clothes?

i am searching for a outfit for my ds for his christening, he will be 4 months when the service takes place. I am not into lots of ruffles, and silk etc but would like a modern take on christening clothes. I have searched the web but have been disappointed with the selections. Anyone know of a decent place to get what I am after?

with thanks

TRy Verbaudet the french catalogue. I had a lovely linen shorts, waistcoat and short sleeved shirt for ds2 from there. Very summer in provence! They also have some little sailor suits I think.

Try also Cyrillus and Children's Salon . They do have some frilly silk stuff, but also have some beautiful linen things here and if you scroll down past the shiny silk numbers there are some cute boys' things here . The Michael ivory cord suit about half way down the page is very cute and simple. Not a particularly cheap option, but can report that their linen is lovely (dd1's First Communion dress came from here) and their service is good.

I second Verbaudet - I really, really like the quality of everything and think it is pretty inexpensive. Lots of good natural fibres too.
