When using Microsoft Outlook and i reply to an email the font is huge, although it states size 8. When i send the email, the recipient gets it correctly. It is obviously just the view that is wrong...
I have just done the following:
1.On the View menu, point to Arrange By, point to Current View, and then click Define Views.
2.In the Views for folder folder name box, click the view (view: Views give you different ways to look at the same information in a folder by putting it in different arrangements and formats. There are standard views for each folder. You can also create custom views.) you want to change back to its original settings.
3.Click Reset.
This has not helped at all! Now i have squares across the reply email and my signature is yellow??? And when printed, has disappeared...
Can anyone help me to get things 'normal'? I have found the following online, but am worried that i will lose all my emails and contacts..
How to restore Outlook
Notice: this procedure will reset Outlook to its DEFAULT views and it will NOT restore CUSTOM toolbars or menus.

To restore Outlook views, toolbars, menus or settings, you need to reset the content of the OUTCMD.DAT file.

  1. Exit Outlook;
  2. Locate the OUTCMD.DAT file.
If you are running Windows XP and you installed Outlook on its default path, you can find the file in "C:\Documents and Settings\-USER-\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook", where "-USER-" if the name of your Windows login account. If not, search your local disk for the filename;
  1. Rename the OUTCMD.DAT file to a different filename;
  2. Restart Outlook.

Once restarted, Outlook should restore the default OUTCMD.DAT file from scratch and you should be able to use Outlook with its default view settings.

Is there anyone that can help me?
Thank you in advance.

I do not know the answer but in the last fortnight, the same has happened to my emails, so I will be watching answer with interest.
Nb My problem happened at the same time as my children started getting interested in emailing. NOt sure if this is a coincidence...

It's not something silly like the view scale being set to more than 100%, is it?

i have looked at that and its normal.... If i receive an email everything is normal, but as soon as i click to reply it is HUGE and because of this, the whole page is totally distorted... its very odd.
