Information about Ulleskelf

Would be really grateful if a mumsnetter could tell me whether there is any flooding from the River Wharfe that affects houses in Ulleskelf. I am interested in houses in the village, in particular the new development at Sycamore Chase Main Street Ulleskelf. Best wishes Camelia

I did notice on another thread that you sit on Appeals Panels for school places.

Could I ask you some advice about grounds for successfully appealing for a secondary school place?

Roisin about Appeals. I would be delighted to advise on grounds for appeals. I have done this before and my main point is always the same. There are no general grounds that guarantee success. However if you can show the Panel that you know from school visits and prospectuses exactly what various schools in the area provide they are more likely to be sympathetic to your appeal. Following on from that if you can identify certain attributes and provisions that your preferred school can offer that you feel are not available at other schools the panel has good reason to uphold your appeal.It is important to descibe your child; his/her character, interests and particular aptitudes and show how various schools can and cannot provide for those needs.
