at the blue cross center in kimpton. they have been there since nov, come as a pair and are older than most there at 9 and 10years. they are used to kids (have to be with my 2), very lovely temperment and i adore them. we cant get them atm as we live in a masionette but am expecting to be moved quickly into a suitable property for all of us soon. I feel so sad for these 2 dogs as they are gorgeous, but as they are elderly residents and come as a pair, no one wants them. the people at the centre have said it will be moer than likely they will still be there in a couple of months.

oh you sound just like me I am waiting to move so that I can have a dog.I am in tears just at the thought of the two you have seen!What kind are they?

Misdee, I really REALLY wish I could help, but can't. I hate the idea of dogs in cages at a rescue centre, we had a couple of R.S.P.C.A. dogs when I was a teenager, loved them (and they loved us) to bits.

Can you visit them a few times until you move? Or would that upset you too much.

heres a link to them \link(www.bluecross.org.uk/centres/kimpton/wicksipepsi.htm\pepsi and wicksy}

dh has always wanted a cavalier king charles spaniel since he was a lad, and this one is so adorable. the dogs in the other shelters were going mad, these two just came up and let us pet them (thro the bars) and seemed so friendly. I am going to phone up every few weeks to see whats happening with them, if they arent rehomed when we have a suitable house then we will look inot getting them. it will cost about £150 for the pair, and i know we will have higher vets bills than most as they are nearing the end, but i feel they need a loving home at the end of there days rather than being in a shelter.

am i just soppy?

they offer 6 weeks free pet insurence, and we would carry it on after that period.

Weep, weep, weep at their picture. Our Maxi boy came from a rescue home. Has his probs, but wouldn't change hime for the world. Hope it all works out for them both. I do think it's lovely that they're only offered as a 'unit'.
