please tell me its all worth it in the end, builders knocked down the wall upstairs so I can go into the new extended part of the house, its bare walls no heating gaps in the floor, the new toilet is is the new bathroom and having a pee means freezing my arse off and that also applies to having a shower as there is no shower screen

boo hoo I keep thinking should we have just moved instead

It's like moving house - you forget all the trauma when you've got there!

Enough to turn you to drink in the meantime though

MrsH34 · 05/12/2006 21:23

We moved.....wish i'd had the extention!

MrsH34 · 05/12/2006 21:24

sorry extension.

Mumpbump · 05/12/2006 21:27

It is so worth it! We spent last Christmas with a new area of roof with no insulation and a hole in the side of the house - freezing!!! And we had no heating during the really cold snap last November when we were getting a new boiler put in. Just remember that the feeling of gain (and possibly relief) is directly proportional to the pain...

Aw c'mon, at least you have a kitchen don't you? We got our extension done, laminate flooring in, painted the walls, then the kitchen was delayed and missing parts that the fitter couldn't do half without . All worth it in the end and great fun sliding around a big empty space.
I know what you mean though, the shell goes up so quickly then it all just slows right down and you think it's never going to happen.

kitchen is been knocked thro after xmas, so have that to look forward too (not)

Ah but that's 2007, that's next year, stick your head in the sand and keep your pecker up . Have you got all the decor planned out in your head yet? You can just retreat into that fantasyland when it all get too heavy.
