well as you know I have moved. I have got a mainstream placement for dd but we need her birth certificate. She has already started but I cant find her birth cert and tbh I cant see I am going to find it soon. The boxes are bloody everywhere and I have got to have my damp proof and basement waterproofed, so major upheaval.

Anyway...how do we get a new one???

Please help me!!!

Contact the registrar's office where you registered her birth. I think they charge 3 quid for a short one.

Secur, I didn't have to do it in writing. Just went into registrar, filled out form, paid money, then 10 minutes later (they were busy that day) had DD's full birth certificate.

D'oh sorry secur didn#t think about that lol

To get DP's birth cert (he was born in Wales) we downloaded a pdf from the registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages site, printed it, filled it in and sent it off with cheque.

Few weeks later it arrived
