Totally agree with you madame. I might have subjected my two to similar rants over the years. Nowadays they get rants on how few kids tv characters are girls, except in programmes aimed at girls - i.e. most 'unisex' shows have male leads. Even new shows, no excuse for it. It gives me the fucking rage

Thats why I like HTTYD fancy. Hiccup is a gentle, weedy, animal-loving softy, and astrid is kick-ass and violent. Necessary corrective role models for boys and girls all in the one package.

We've been to media city today to watch a cbbc programme being filmed. We ended up on the front row as I am walking with a stick! A brilliant experience but it was too much for me really so now I'm in bed, in pain but the DC loved it.
