Tap Dancing Nun!?

something frivolous!!

going to a hen night this saturday... Sing-A-Longa-Sound-Of-Music!!! and am looking forward to it!!! Very Strange...

anyway as some of you might or might not know... you are encouraged to go in fancy dress!! I am going as a (yawn) Nun!! like 500 billion other people... although i give myself a little pat on the back as i made my costume from scratch (and juggling a 10 month old at the same time... pat on the back for being supermom!!! / or slap on the wrists for being ignoring mother!!! ) )

There will be a competetion i think to find the best nun! so i have decided to give myself a little edge over the others... i tap dance and thought! Yay! a tap dancing nun... however i am finding it a little hard to link in tap dancing with the sound of music!?

any tenuous links out there?

plus has anyone been to sing a longa before? what little devices should i take? i plan to take a torch for the cemetry scene and some confettie for the wedding!

(dd asleep for the morning thus the reason why i have found the time to write something so silly! but feeling guilty that i should be doing those 'jobs around the house!' )

Bea - I went in Jan, its BRILLIANT! I had such a good time. The best way to win is to do something a bit differnt so I'm sure you're in with a chance with your tap-dancing!!! I went as the song 'my favourite things' had a rose with raindrops on, a toy kitten with whiskers, blue satin sash, snowflakes on my nose and eyelashes, sleighbells round my neck and I made a brilliant bag which looked like a brown paper package tied up with string!!! It was honestly one of the best nights out I've had in ages. Made slightly better by the fact you could take your drinks into the cinema!
Don't worry about taking anything cos you will get a bag of stuff like pamina says. But prepare yourself to have a really loud and most excellent time!!
I'm really jealous of you now, I want to go and see singalonga Abba too!
