MIL had ds overnight (for the 1st time) last night. And this morning she managed to get all the following on a 15minute conversation.

"His hat was too small, so we had to buy a new one"

"He has such a temper doesn't he?"

"He didn't fit into his buggy, so we altered the straps"

"He has a chesty cold you know, you ought to get that chesked out"

"Obviously doesn't understand 'No', do you let him get his own way at home?"

I'm sure there was lots more but can't remember anymore!

On the plus side, when you are a MIL one day in the future, you will always always be right

I completelt sympathise panic. I think there is a thread in Christmas with horrible things you can buy your in-laws for Christmas.

Ha, I think all mil do this at some time or other, I flipped at mine once, took a bottle of expressed milk in the living room so she could give her a feed and she turned round and said "have you checked it's not too hot". To which I turned round and said "No, I just shove it in her mouth and hope for the best"!!. Mil eh!!

LOL, not just mine then! I have mentally banned my PILs from looking after my DTs for the foreseeable future after they had them for a couple of nights and turned them into horrible monsters by indulging their every whim. Of course, they don't actually know that I've banned them, but it makes me feel better

paulaplumpbottom · 03/12/2006 20:40

Was your DH there?

PanicPants · 03/12/2006 20:57

Yep he was there, and completely agrees with me.

It's just the way they point out the bleeding obvious

her: He's got a runny nose
me: Really? You know I never noticed that

Does he say anything?

PanicPressiePants · 05/12/2006 20:42

Just moans about her in the car on the way home.

Feel sorry for him in a way.
