Hi
I am renovating an old cottage and am considering an electric EVerhot cooker
I was advised by the salesperson that they should be left on all the time even if only on a very low setting.
Any feedback on efficiency and running costs would be appreciated as well as general feedback on the cooker
Are they style over substance?

Just seen this Pamela.

I have an 110i with the additional induction hot plate. Having cooked on an Aga at the old house we moved somewhere with a regular electrical range style double oven. When we replaced that we wanted to go back to the traditional always on range but looking round chose the Everhot because it can be installed via a regular 13 amp socket, so that's easy and because at the time it appeared to be the only programmable range.

A genuine range cooker is always left on all the time (as opposed to similar looked but regular ovens) If you have the two or more oven model you don't have to have them both on all the time, they and the flat hotplate are programmed separately by temperature and by times.

I've found it to be extremely well made, efficient and well worth the purchase price, especially comparing to Aga whose customer service was very lacking.
Speaking of service, you don't need an annual service on an Everhot.

There's a Facebook Group which might give you more facts and figures. I don't keep an eye on running costs as our house is expensive on utilities anyway, and there used to be a very long running message board from one of the monthly magazines, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. If I do I'll post a link.

Have you considered going to a demonstration at the head office where they're made, or one of their retail suppliers?
