Hi all

Just thought I'd let you know that dh & I went to a Qantas dinner the other night and John Travolta was there!!! I had my photo taken with him (with his arm around me of course - although the memory is a bit blurred due to champagne consumption), and we even got to have a look inside his plane!!

Just a bit of goss - he seems like a lovely guy and his wife was lovely too, but I was a little bit envious of the fact that they've got FOUR nannies to take car of their two children... if only

That should be care, not car....

What a claim to fame, something to remember. I would love to have met JT, sounds very glamours. I had my picture taken with Roger De Courcy and Nookie bear once......not quite the same is it.

FOUR nannies?

I'm supposed to be getting the photos any day now, oliveoil - if someone can tell me how to do a link, I'll be able to post them!! I took a photo of him with my own camera and a couple of his plane, but the professional photo is going to be sent out to us soon.

Yeah he's nice although not as tall as I thought (isn't that what everybody says?!!), and he looked pretty tired - but he'd been flying across the country and attending various functions over the last few days, so I can understand how tiring it must be. Plus the poor guy had to pose for countless photos with people all night, the downside to being famous huh?!

Do you know that because they are scientologists the women cannot make a single noise whilst giving birth!! - I think I would be childless if I were one!!

Exactly, Lipstick Mum, FOUR nannies?

Why in the world would anyone need 4 nannies? (Even though some days it sounds like an awfully good idea.)

Kateandthegirls, apparently it's because sometimes the kids like to bring playmates along on a trip (I thought they would've been too young for that!!), but mainly because the nannies work in shifts. So JT & his wife get to sleep in their master bedroom on the plane while someone takes care of the kids... I think there were about 9 staff altogether on his plane, including security guards. It would be nice to have around-the-clock nannies but you wouldn't get a lot of privacy, would you!!

Lethal, might be worth the trade-off! Who has any privacy with kids anyway!
