I gave my ds who is 2 adult benylin last week by mistake. Very tired and grabbed the wrong bottle.

I caled NHS direct in a panic and they said there was no problem so I would definately give tixylix if 2 weeks away from birthday.

unknownrebelbang · 01/12/2006 22:26

Chemist was covering their own back.

Frustrating though it is, can't say I blame him/her.

Nemoinapeartree · 01/12/2006 22:28

Argh hate that term!!!

As a professional pharmacist it is more than her jobs worth to give out medicine if baby to young. As a parent you can make that judgement but she cannot knowingly sell it for under ones.

StarrmumofRoyalBeautyBright · 02/12/2006 12:21

Age is irrelevant really - after all, what is suddenly going to happen in 2 weeks!

In France they dispense medicines for children according their weight, which makes much more sense (although it's a pain if you don't know how much your child weighs)

paulaplumpbottom · 02/12/2006 13:05

It won't do her any harm.
