hub2dee, my dp ordered me that book from amazon that you recommended. I would have liked to have done a swap but he ordered it first, plus books round here tend to get eaten by the dts! It's a fantastic book though, I've already been playing with my existing pics, cropping them to make them better and it is amaing what difference it makes. Will be trying out some of the other ideas when I get a chance. So thanks.

Or - reinstall itunes ? Check your usb port is working for other devices ? Check it's plugged in properly ? Try another cable ?

Kelly - I'm glad you think the book is useful. It's not overly complex, and it's done in small chapters so it's very easy just to dip in for 2 minutes and come out with an idea IYSWIM. Good luck with improving your shots, and trying out some of the book's other ideas. If you want any other help, just shout.

Mars - can your PC see it OK ? Itmight be playing up because (in theory) a computer will onl sync to one ipod IYSWIM, the computer may be longing for your old one IYSWIM, and not in love with the new one. To fix this I think you need to sync them empty and then import your library (which YOU HAVE BACKED UP FIRST), or else resort to using a 3rd party little shareware tool which will take over the syncing / talking to the ipod IYSWIM.

I don't need you! My DS1 came in and asked me what I was trying to do. Plugged the ipod into a different port (or starboard or sherry or something) and it's all working. It's syncing and dancing and making tea! Yeah!!!!!!!!!
