try again- on tools, go to internet options, content, auto complete and disable web pages thats on my internet explorer...

Lucycat · 29/11/2006 16:18

if you start to type in the Google box does all your visited sites pop up with an option to 'clear history'?

mine is IE7 and it's taking some getting used to!

SpookyMadMerryChristmasMummy · 29/11/2006 16:21

lucycat sometimes clearing history dosent clear the problem....

zephyrcat · 29/11/2006 16:26

I thought it was tools, internet options and in the temporary files bit next to delete cookies, it says delete files... i think that clears it.... just trying it on mine

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 29/11/2006 16:29

I've got IE 7 (and it's a pain in the bum)and it's Tools, Internet Options and on the General Tab, delete browsing history. Then you get options for history, passwords, form history etc.

Lucycat · 29/11/2006 16:30

told you it was a bit tricky!

yeh just delete everything! you'll probably have to log on here again though - I'm always doing that by mistake!

hockeymum · 29/11/2006 16:34

hmmn, I dont have a delete browsing history button, confused.

Have deleted cookies, files and made it not store history -0 - but the websites are still there in the address bar.

try going to control panel, internet options then delete files - that's just worked for me....

zephyrcat · 29/11/2006 16:46

did it work?

hockeymum · 29/11/2006 17:16

hmmn, no nothing is working - it's all still there under address. I might have to ask him because I know he's deleted his.

Thanks for all the advice girls
