council housing

am going to see a council house have been offered (god so happy me dh and 2 dds in one room at mums for 3 yrs) just wondered if i will get the keys there and then does any one no
chhers

Unlikely you will get the keys. Normally you go and see it then if you want it they will offer it officially in a letter, then give you a date for getting the keys

i just really want to get every thing sorted and in for xmas

if they have offered you the property then youll have to pick up the keys!! youll then be given so long to accept or decline(not long probably)
thats what happened with me and dp..

when i went to view my flat i got keys on same day and was told i could move in straight away but they allowed me a week to get it sorted so i was still in my hostel for another week whilst we bought all furniture and decorated.
