Have I been taken in?

I am starting to think I have been conned and wanted to see if any other Mums can reassure me that I've not. I signed up to something from a company called My Child - mag and CD-roms to help your child along with the national curriculum. The company send out a trial pack which you can keep for 7 days and then return if you don't want it. If you don't do that they take a further amount so that you get the whole 2 years worth of mags and CD-roms.

Anyway, I decided not to subscribe after getting my welcome pack but couldn't find any return label in the pack so tried to contact them to see if I had to pay for postage (quite a heavy item). The upshot of it is that it is completely impossible to get hold of them by phone or email. Has anyone else heard of them? Has anyone signed up to this too? Please say I've not been conned. I've contacted the bank but they can't do anything about getting anotehr payment stopped until it actually happens.

Thanks for this. That was the number I called. I eventually emailed someone and got a call back, but by this time had had to return the welcome pack anyway as I didn't want to get stung for not returning it within 7 days. I had to pay £7.40 to return it special delivery (wanted to guarantee that they received it) and I have told them that I expect this refunded with my original cost for the welcome pack. We shall see if it actually happens though. I am now reassured that the company is genuine but I think their admin and customer service is appalling.
