Swearing!

Hey,
I'm doing an English project on swearing and other taboo language. I would love to hear some of your opinions on swearing? Whether it is acceptable to swear, only in certain circumstances. What age is it acceptable to swear and is there certain swear words that should never be said?

Don't have a particular opinion on swearing personally but, if you re-post in Chat (particularly around this time of night!) you will likely find more than a few posters who do.
