It's a new term so early to bed for the little darlings & back to the Muskeperving for us wenches. New pupils always welcome if you are taking Musketeers A-Level. You 4 new boys in leather can come & sit at the front where I can keep an eye on you And no guns in class. Now FOCUS you lot.

Evening everywench!

So haydee are you morelike? Nice nc! Welcome back and well done for the amazing aramis dream! Envy So were you climbing indoors or outdoors? There's a great new indoor wall in mycity, I must start taking ds again...

Ds seems to have enjoyed his first day back. Phew.

ali bads Flowers and Brew for backache / migraine. Yes I think the christmas beard was for real...

MadamedeChevreuse · 03/09/2015 18:23

Oh yes - wtf is a breton top exactly?

Skinnies - is that like jeggings?

I also need to renovate my autumn wardrobe. My clothes look a state. Unfortunately, first I need to renovate ds's autumn wardrobe, cos he seems to have grown about a foot in the last year.

Badders123 · 03/09/2015 18:25

Navy and white stripe...I have a couple :)
Well...must get ds2 to do his reading...sigh.

LetUsPrey · 03/09/2015 19:41

Evening wenches.

Have RBNR. Tiring day at work.

Aramis gifset - phwoaaarrrrr

Got something for Team Athos too off Tumblr. Back in a mo.

LetUsPrey · 03/09/2015 19:57

For Team Athos

LaComtess · 03/09/2015 20:13

Evening all!

Just got back from a run with my housekeeper (ds1 - he's got a list of jobs as long as his arm as his summer job finishes tomorrow so, I have him for a week of DIY/chores/etc . Great!). My legs now really ache. Goodness only knows how they'll be tomorrow!!

Ali nice to see you on the thread. A lot of the Rosemary Conley diet plan was developed due to gall bladder problems so might be a good source of recipes etc.

morelike glad you had a fab holiday!

Bads I confess to not minding not having to 'do the reading' anymore. Grin

LaComtess · 03/09/2015 20:14

Where is mouse? Poorly?

FancyFancy · 03/09/2015 20:32

Evening

Lovely gifset thanks letus - esp the Aramis/Rochefort stare-off.

On teh subject of school reading - sodding Biff & Chip are a novel and effective contraceptive. Twice was enough for me

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/09/2015 20:32

Mouse is JacobFry, yes? Not sure. It was dead on here today (good from the 'not being distracted whilst working' point of view, but bad from the 'I'm bored mindless' pov.

Trying to get DS to bed just now... 1st day back went fine and we've been swimming so he should be tired

FancyFancy · 03/09/2015 20:49

I think a lot of us are either prepping to return to school, or back at work, or catching up with a backlog of jobs if our DC are back! And yes, mouse is Jacob.

Badders123 · 03/09/2015 20:57

Comtesse! (Snog) I long for the days I can leave the dc with a jobs list...
Yes to biff and fucking chip as effective contraceptive. Jesus. The tedium.
Ds1 (12) is Very good at fetching me stuff :) I have also taught him how to make me a coffee.
Is mouse poorly? (Worried)
So many name changes I can't keep up with who is posting and who isn't
Am in bed.
Just read day ds a bit more or HHGTTG. He is loving it :)

LetUsPrey · 03/09/2015 21:08

I very graciously let DS1 borrow my copy of HHGTTG Badderz last year as he'd gone right off reading. Didn't spark him. Then when he was ill last summer he listened to the entire series on CD which he loved. I offered him the book again today coincidentally. Nothing doing

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/09/2015 21:27

I started DS watching the original BBC TV series of HHGTTG after he enjoyed the film, but he has the attention span of a gnat and didn't get past episode 2. He did like the film though. I don't think I'll bother with the book for him yet - would probably go right over his head Grin

Today I managed one load of washing and made up the spare beds. also did the working thing and took Ds swimming, so not been entirely unproductive. I may also have spent a fair bit of time looking at pictures like this...

Oh - Biff & Chip - argh. I am sooooooooooooo relieved that DS spent hardly any time reading them because he's an excellent reader and progressed beyond them very quickly.

HaydeeofMonteCristo · 03/09/2015 21:30

Hi fancy - will scroll back and take a look...

Madame - thanks - I am morelike, but I fancied a change. Inspired by you as Aramis' woman, and also of course AnneWentworth...

Climbing was only bouldering but really fun. It was in Sutton rather than in yourcity. Quite a few walls not to far from us though.

Mwah to you too comtess and to all wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/09/2015 21:38

We went scrambling on holiday - lots of big boulders in a gorge so we scambled back and forwards over the waterfall etc. Was fab.

Not sure I'd want to do a climbing wall, but I'd like to give it a try.

LaComtess · 03/09/2015 21:38

Badders Grin it's great when they realise they have to do the list or you won't be giving them any money for uni Grin.

Loved your Michael Sheen retweets btw. He should be the fucking PM rather than twatface Cameron. Saw the Steve bell cartoon in the Guardian today, Spot on.

Fancy wore new linen/wool mix cardi today - my only sales bargain. Itched a bit... I thought of you Grin

Badders123 · 03/09/2015 21:45

Bloody love Michael sheen
I've been a bit busy on twitter today [Blush]

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 03/09/2015 21:55

Night wenches Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/09/2015 21:57

Night WW think I'm heading for sleep shortly too...

FancyFancy · 03/09/2015 21:57

Aw comtess - that's so sweet . Wool socks are fab for me in really cold weather - the very mild reaction I get to them counteracts my shitty circulation most effectively. Doesn't work so well for gloves though as I tend to touch my face Blush is not a good look.

helen - unfortunately DS took most of reception to get the hang of reading, progress was so slow it was painful. Luckily DD learnt quickly, I can't bear to think of the agony had I spent another year crawling through those fucking books.

FancyFancy · 03/09/2015 22:00

Night ww

In fact just thinking of of them is making me stabby. I need something to soothe me. Ah Doctor Aramis, that'll do nicely.....

FancyFancy · 03/09/2015 22:09

Right, off to iron DD's trousers for tomorrow whilst watching Vuelta highlights. Am ragingly OTH, so it will be a struggle to keep my mind on the task in hand & away from fantasizing about being Nico Roche's soigneur after a particularly hard mountain stage has resulted in very sore thighs

Cinnamoncookie · 03/09/2015 23:25

Why is it that Bravissimo keep bringing out pretty patterned versions of The Only Style Of Bra I Can Wear, but the matching pants are always little bits of nylon string? Whhhyyyy? I want some nice matching knickers that cover my bum, hold my belly in and don't give me raging thrush Angry

FancyFancy · 03/09/2015 23:33

I know what you mean cinn - I like the shorts style, wish there were more of them. I would also love Pepperberry to do more styles - they have lots of tops/dresses with high waists/bands under the bust, which tend to accentuate largeness, rather than a more gradual tailoring that is often more slimming. The day they bring out a longer leg swimsuit I will do a little happy dance. I would love a retro style one, of the sort that busty Hollywood stars of the 40s etc wore.
