I ordered two telletubbies dvds from Amazon, the cheapest seller was an American company

Not that I have got them, they are not compatible with a british system. Planning on emailing Amazon, but a bit worried that they will just say I should have checked.
Have I been a bit dumb? Or would you have thought that they would make them compatible for british machines if sending to UK?

I think you can get your DVD player "chipped" so it does play American DVDs - might make them more expensive DVDs though!
