go shopping and need a few things in particular and come home without them.

DD2 isn't well and she didn't want to be dragged round the supermarket, she wanted to come home to her ninny and teddy and curl up in my bed.

DH is going to go MAD when he comes in from work and i've missed the main things

Can you not get your dh to pick them up on his way home?

Radley · 25/11/2006 13:51

We've got plenty in, but, he wanted bacon and mushrooms, hence I have forgotten the mushrooms and if I went to the spar I know they would be shocking quality as per usual.

He doesn't drive and cycles home, there are only a couple of garages that he could pass and they don't sell

chicken
mushrooms
eggs
juice

He can sit in with yyour dd2 while you go?

compo · 25/11/2006 13:54

I think it would be mean of him to have a go at you? Are you sure he will? Could you ring him now and tell him what happened? If dh yelled at me for that he'd be given the cold shoulder for a week!

Radley · 25/11/2006 13:56

Been trying to ring him for the past 20 minutes in the hope it will soften the blow for when he gets home, but his phone is engaged.

I have made him a loaf of white crusty though, surely that should placate him.

Mine would be told to go fuck himself if he ever dared "go mad" at me orgetting things to concentrate on a sick child!!!

CountTo10LordsaLeaping · 25/11/2006 13:57

Can he not just wait until tomorrow unless you can go later when he gets back in. It's hard shopping with kids especially when they are poorly etc. I'd be pretty p'd off if he cam back in and had a go and not only would he not get the stuff, he could do the next 6 mths shopping with the kids!!!!

compo · 25/11/2006 13:58

pmsl at FF - I was trying to piut them same thing only more eloquently

Radley · 25/11/2006 14:04

Yes, i agree, he has NEVER been shopping with one or both of the children, never mind a sick one, so yes, I think on this occasion he can go f**k himself and his temper.

That is more like it Radley!
I mena, the world is not going to end just because you haven't got those htings right now! If he deems them that necessary then HE can go out and get them when he is home....if he does kick up a fuss, then he is narrowminded and not worth even worrying about!
Shopping with Kids is a nightmare at the best of times, never mind when they are sick!
Hope your dd will feel better asap!

dingdongmerRADLEYonhigh · 25/11/2006 16:43

thanks 3andnomore, she has had a nasty viral infection which has chosen to materialise in her eyes, she has been on drops since weds but looks worse today for some reason AND she has a nasty spot on her right cheek which is really crusty and sore.

Earlier she complained that her mouth was hurting, but, after some calpol she is sat in the washing basket munching an apple.

I told dh i'd forgot the stuff and he wasn't happy,'oh so basically you forgot everything we needed', stroppy git.

tiredemma · 25/11/2006 16:48

send him back out to get them!! cheeky bastard!

I would go mental at Dp if he said the same to me, in fact I would lock him out and slash the tyres on his bike!

dingdongmerRADLEYonhigh · 25/11/2006 16:51

LOL, i'd love to slash the tires on his bike, it would give a great sense of satisfaction, but, if i did that I would be stuck with him for the next two nights and believe me, he is better off a work.

3andnomore · 25/11/2006 17:34

Your dh sounds I right selfish idiot...and your poor dd, not surprising then, that she wills this unwell...poor thing, it just sounds awful!
Well, surely your dh could have either picked the bits up you need whilest on his way home or get them later...so many supermarkets are open for sooooooooo long!
If my dh would make such stupid comments I'd be not to pleased, and let him do his own dinner, lol!

dingdongmerRADLEYonhigh · 25/11/2006 17:37

Oh he is doing his own dinner, and, dd2 is sleeping in my bed tonight and he can either sleep in hers or on the floor, choice is his

3andnomore · 26/11/2006 18:58

lol...how did dh enjoy that than, lololol...

dingdongmerRADLEYonhigh · 27/11/2006 10:18

He came in full of the joys of spring and quite happily made my tea and his

colditz · 27/11/2006 10:50

Oh lol how irritating when you're spoiling for a fight
