She has started knitting again. She has made some lovely jumpers.
My friend takes her to church each week (or when mum feels like it)
She doesn't drive.
She can't walk far due to her legs.
She isn't someone who makes friends easily (or indeed keeps them)

She thinks everyone should make an effect - except her. She criticises people for not keeping in touch and yet she refuses to phone people or go visiting.

My siblings only go and see her when they want something (money in my brothers case) (childcare in my sisters)
I know I can't make a new life for her. But at the same time I cannot abandon a lonely frail woman either.
What sort of person would that make me?
There is no easy answer, sadly.
We take her out sometimes but she doesn't want to do anything! She just doesn't want to be in the house alone. We took her to a local park a few Sunday's ago for a walk. Nice and easy, level ground, only 1 mile. She moaned the whole way. Went to the cafe for a drink and she sat there with a sad face on.
I simply don't know what to do with her. We aren't alike, we dont have any shared interests, she doesn't read, or like the same TV programmes as me.
It's difficult.

I now only have one pile of ironing left!
Phew.
I have 2 bin bags of clothes and shoes in the back of my car for the Salvation Army.
Just found out ds1s paediatrician (who he has seen since he was 2.5) is leaving :(

ww, think someone mentioned checking your iron levels when you were talking about heavy periods - I'm sure i've read somewhere that anaemia sometimes causes restless legs. Medical wenches will know more I'm sure, but maybe even more reason to check your iron levels?

I've got nowt helpful to say baddersz I'm not allowed contact with my mum and she seems fine with that. So whatevs really.
