Help needed with Adobe Photoshop Elements, or just any technical knowhow!

We had our computer rebuilt a month ago and the guy put all our old program files back into a new folder.

However, some of them won't work anymore - which is okay, I have the disks to reinstall them.

Today I tried to re-install Photoshop Elements and realised that I had lost the paper cover that has the serial number on it.

Does anyone know if I can recover the serial number from the old program install which won't work?
It is really bugging me. I am having to use a prehistoric version of Photoshop and it doesn't have all the features I liked on Elements.

I think you are probably screwed.

Try calling Adobe and seeing if they can help (did you register the product online so that they'll at least have a record of it?).

Or if that fails you could try a web search for photoshop elements crack and probably find a serial number that you could use to make it work from a dodgy software piracy site (I don't see an ethical problem in your case because you have paid for the product, just lost your registration key).

On the other hand, another program I can't reinstall is Office 2000 - This time it is because the disk is scratched up! I have the serial number.

WAH!

Might search for elements online then

Thank you Lemonaid!!!

I have found a serial number and have guilt free access to my beloved elements again!

Right, now to puzzle over the Office problem
