I think if someone has bid on it then you're stuffed unless there was a reserve on it. Tell them to bid X amount and try and win

I thought so. They can see we have bids on it and are still asking. I just wanted to check I was right in thinking that. Thankyou tamum

You're welcome- I should say I am just a buyer though, so maybe some sellers who know more should confirm. I do do a lot of buying though [blush}

You can end a listing early if it has more than 12 hours left, even if it has bids on it. You have to cancel the bids. But, if you are happy with the price its at now, let the buyer join in the auction like everyone else!

Presumably if you did that you'd either have to sell it off-eBay, or pay a second lot of listing fees, would you?

You could send a buy it now offer to the buyer so its still done through Ebay, but you would have to pay more listing fees, plus final value fee. I personally don't end auctions early, if someone wants my item, they will bid on it.

Ah, right. Yes, my feeling was make them bid, and it could go higher than the BIN price
