Bless him. He came home for the weekend, and 'lost' his side room. The other people in his ward are fairly obviously very ill, and that just seems to make everything seem worse

He has his scan tomorrow, I have a day off work and will see him in the day.

Send good vibes please. I'm just hoping that his consultant is right and it isn't cancer

We are all here for you, and will do all we can but then I guess you already know that.

Oh God MB - I really don't know what to say

You are very much in my thoughts right now - and I pray that you are wrong (rare thought that might be)!

yoyo · 20/11/2006 18:32

Have been thinking of you all weekend MB. Hope the results of the scan come through quickly and that it will be good news and not as you fear.

maddiemostmerry · 20/11/2006 18:33

Keep strong, MB. Will the consultant see you and hubby tomorrow? Saying lots of prayers for you both.

I was just checking in hoping desperately for good news. I am so sorry. I can't resist a little hope that this much pain and illness is more likely to be something other than cancer, but I am still, of course, keeping everything crossed.

We are here if you need us.

beckybrastraps · 20/11/2006 18:51

Ooooooo!

Not letting up on the vibes yet though. What a roller coaster for you.

NomDePlume · 20/11/2006 18:53

That is good news MB. I'm thrilled for you. I will keep those good vibes coming though

TeeCee · 20/11/2006 18:54

Just caught up on this MB, your last post sounds hopeful, praying it's all ok. TC x

Twiglett · 20/11/2006 18:57

OK so his blood tests are ok, his esr is normal and they can't see anything on the scan

but he's still feeling ill and bloated?

they'll find what out what the problem is but in the meantime that sounds quite hopeful doesn't it?

tamum · 20/11/2006 18:57

Oh blimey, excellent! I can't imagine they would say that lightly to be honest

foxinsocks · 20/11/2006 18:58

phew! that does sound more hopeful

Pixiefish · 20/11/2006 19:00

xx

soapbox · 20/11/2006 19:03

That does sound more hopeful, doesn't it!

As Tamum says, I can't see them saying that if cancer was a very likely explanation for his symptoms.

I suggest, though, that you stay of the internet medical sites - always a recipe for complete depression ime!

sunnysideup · 20/11/2006 19:11

MB, I will be thinking of you all..so glad the first feedback on the scan was positive. I just feel for you so much, the waiting really is torture, isn't it.

Hope you get more info and the right sort, tomorrow.

Blandmum · 20/11/2006 19:21

feeling a bit better. He is still feeling very rough, the pressure in his abdomen has made it impossible to eat or drink much today. They are going to tap the fluid tomorrow, which will ease his discomfort.

MIL arrives tomorrow....which is great because i love her to bits, and that will give me no end of support.

And thank you to all my wonderful MN mates.....this is one of those amazing MN things now....I don't know what I'd have done without your support!
