Fiesta head rests

sorry if this is wrong place to ask the question. Just bought new Fiesta and can't put the front headrests right down. As they stick out towards your head and my head keeps coming into contact with those steel bars it is not comfortable. When I drive I raise the seat but can't do that on passenger side. Seen so many Fiestas around I thought Mumsnetters are bound to have some answer. I would be really grateful for help.

Sorry if you already know this but you need to push the button in at the same time as lowering the headrests.
If that doesn't work could you pull it off altogether? If you're 5'1, you may not need it.

Thanks a lot for answering. Husband has been pressing release button and pushing same time but nothing lowers. He has also tried getting it out but no luck. Will have to ask garage if more efforts don't succeed. We had an old focus before and no trouble.
