Wasn't really the housework which made me doubt my powers yesterday, more abject failure to parent.

However, twinnies have amazed me tonight. I had a little pity party last night about things when I was apologising for something I hadn't done. Tonight they've blitzed the house (not perfect but serious effort including squirting serious amounts of domestos in loos ) and ds4 prepped and washed loads of strawberries for Wimbledon puddings. All before I got home to cheer me up . So proud of them all.

Eva everyone can run if you learn how. But if you don't like it, power walking if also v effective. Or swimming. Or Anything you are motivated to do. If you don't like it you don't want to do it.

Mavis I'm treating myself to a new fitbit for my birthday as mine is v old. It's very good for 'completists' in that you will get annoyed of you don't get all your lights on. Recommended.

Comtess I'm glad all will be restored at home shortly. I swim once a week now. I do love walking and I once jogged I'm aiming to just get moving in the holidays. A walk every day.

I've just googled fitbits Comtess as I didn't really know much about them. What sort would you recommend?

Thanks Eva - yes I think that's totally the right attitude - it's all about getting moving. I run with the boys as they're fitness freaks, but also with an old friend as it's one of our main bitching opportunities. Also having someone else depending on you going makes it harder to opt out.

That support is very helpful. My DS are scooter mad so if they go out on theirs each day I'll have to walk quickly to keep up. They love being out and about.

Well I've got the old 1st gen fitbit which is fine but didn't have a heart monitor. It's all synced with my mfp which means all the exercise stuff is very accurate. I also ALWAYS want to complete my goal of steps every day. It's a bit addictive.

But I want a flex because it has a heart rate monitor and watch display and all sorts of other little gizmos I like the look of.

Mr C has a jawbone instead. All the same sort of thing but the band seems v big to me, which is good for him but looks a bit clunky to me when you're not in exercise gear.

Shit. I can feel the Sparks disapproval from here.
