So, we have passed our 100,000 posts of Musketeer-related musings & as befits such an achievement, we got our shout-out on Twitter from Jess Pope Grin Any lurkers out there, come on in & state your boffing order.

In the spirit of celebration, I am also imposing the rule that everywench's first post in here has to be accompanied by a pretty Musketeers pic. Don't let me down now mis wenchitas.

Well done on the jamming issy - very impressed!

I'm a bit paranoid this morning as DS's friends mum has cancelled on him coming over again. He used to come every week without fail, but the last few weeks there's been an excuse every time. They all seem legit, eg today he's off school ill (just nursery) but still......it's just been ages now, and she's been a bit off with me. It's ever since I told him off for trashing a bedroom.

Hmm.

morelikeguidelines · 01/07/2015 09:08

Love the poem Helen

Greetings to all you shade lovers this morning.

Sorry to go on, but to me the weather is GLORIOUS!!!

Paddling pool water was actually warm yesterday. If only I did not have to work and could spend entire day in the garden... Boo... Is quite nice just seeing the blue sky from my window though. Plus today am working at home so don't have to be in tights Grin

morelikeguidelines · 01/07/2015 09:10

PS well done on the jam issy. I have never made jam.

I don't know if any of you read Marian Keyes, but one of my favourite lines (about an Irish Catholic family) was "Helen's idea of protestants was a strange one. They had horns and cloven hooves and made their own jam"

Enormouse · 01/07/2015 09:13

floppers yes you can. but I actually prefer Johnny Lee Miller as Sherlock to Benedict Cabbagepatch. It causes much debate in the house. Do you watch person of interest too?

wellerr sounds like you were in the right. I'd be inclined to give her another chance and if she makes an excuse again, just write it off.

MadamedeChevreuse · 01/07/2015 09:20

Morning. Welcome back morelike!

anne me too!!! I really need to buy some light respectable clothes this weekend. If not Ill be staying in the hotel the whole time in case I bump into santi. Blush

Well ok, everyone who was hot yesterday. Ill take whatever you said and raise it filming with lights in boiling, packed primary school classrooms, where the windows are closed cos of noise, from 8-6pm. And having had 4 hours sleep the night before in a shitty premier inn. And having to run it yourself (still totally clueless about job) cos boss caught a virus and spent the day vomiting in the premier inn.

So surprise surprise...today Ive got another migraine.

MadamedeChevreuse · 01/07/2015 09:22

Oh and errrrr wenchvac wenches? Have you seen how hot it's going to be where we're going next week? I think we'd best think of this week as helpful acclimatisation, tbh.

ApricotCrush · 01/07/2015 09:24

Morning.

Commiserations for those who don't like the weather, but we get so little of it, and the world seems a different place to me when the sun is out and it's hot. I know it's difficult if you have to work.

Anne and Madame I'm off tomorrow and haven't even started packing yet. Shock Having to totally re-think my wardrobe in view of weather.

Must get on.

morelikeguidelines · 01/07/2015 09:26

Yay a snog with madame!

MadamedeChevreuse · 01/07/2015 09:29

Youre right apricot and anne 30 degrees isnt actually that hot we need more light and blue sky in this country fo sho. Though Im one of the ones who cant cope with heat, even 30 degrees. And tbh I think its just genetic pot luck. Im well jel of those who thrive on heat and dont need to go cowering under a parasol. Ah well.

BloodyElkFire · 01/07/2015 09:49

Aww poor welldog and that does seem odd wrt friend. Shame.
30 is fucking hot when you're built for winter as I am. I shut down in anything over 25 ish.

MadamedeChevreuse · 01/07/2015 10:17

So do I nora!

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 01/07/2015 10:45

Morning wenches.

Not liking the heat much, i'm alright as long as I only have to waft around, but dealing with the kids has me sweating and red faced in about 20 seconds. Which is nice.

Bit of an odd day, grandma died one year ago. Keep having flashbacks to seeing her in the hospital.

Baddz · 01/07/2015 11:25

Ali ??
The heat is actually making me feel ill Sad
Dr appt at 5.40. Here's hoping for hrt and heavy duty barbiturates ????

FolknNorah · 01/07/2015 11:43

Aww you two, come and have a snuggle in front of the air conditioning unit. It's set to freeze. You too madame c'mere.

FancyFancy · 01/07/2015 12:13

Flowers ali

I have decided to lower my expectations today & plan to do nothing. Therefore anything achieved is a bonus. It's not a long term solution, or useful if you have to work but I'm going with it today. Grin

So today's bonuses are : washing done, maintenance washes of dishwasher & washing machine done, paperwork done & meal planning done.

chaiselounger · 01/07/2015 13:21

The picnic of our sports day had to be cancelled because the sports day was cut short. After 3/4 of an hour the children were flagging, so we all went home. Shame.

Cinnamoncookie · 01/07/2015 13:47

Phone call re possible job 10.20am (I was still in pyjamas). Mad scramble up town for interview 12.30pm. Read script. All agreed and just waiting for production meeting at 2pm. Aaaah, theatre.

Script is 'satire' by moderatelyfamousactor, rehearsing in London for 3 weeks, before going to Edinburgh, which I'm not doing, alas. Does put the final kibosh on any last minute joining of Wenchvac, boohoo.

Enormouse · 01/07/2015 14:42

I like your philosophy fancy. Definitely words to live by.

letus can you have a mini picnic at home?

cinn can we try and guess the identity of moderately familiar actor? I'll start - is it James Nesbit?

FancyFancy · 01/07/2015 14:58

It will leave me with lots to do tomorrow mouse, but it saves me from feeling cross with myself this evening.

That's a shame chaise, but not surprised the chidren are flagging.

A mixed yay and boo cinn, great news about the job, but pity about the hols

FancyFancy · 01/07/2015 15:02

Purposefully striding Aramis is hot

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 01/07/2015 16:18

Do you know what today's weather has made me think of? That video of the filming of the Pinon episode, where Santi said by the time he's put the costume on, he's sweating. Yummmmmm.

Madame we have indeed seen wench vac weather. Sorry for another migraine. I am feeling a bit knocked out by it as I popped into town after work & hadn't eaten since dinner last night due to it being a 500 cal day - & all of a sudden I just had no energy. Had to come home & doze for a couple of hours which is unheard of for me. I am now trying to summon up the courage to hoover the house Hmm

I am having opposite problem re packing & summer clothes. I have too many. It is all a bit tricky though that it looks like it's going to be too hot for cropped jeans.

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 01/07/2015 16:22

Thanks for the snuggles, the aircon part sounds awesome Grin

cinn yay for the job but boo on wenchvac

chaise Grin we always slope off and come home for lunch on sports day, much nicer!

badds hope the GP is forthcoming.

I have done a couple of loads of washing, paid my car tax, shopped for summer clothes online, made sure the DCs were where they needed to be. I am now officially done for the day. Dinner is various leftovers, and icecream.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/07/2015 17:38

Evening Smile Thanks for the birthday wishes Smile

I'm not sure how I will cope with the weather during the wenchvac, I might just drag myself through the streets, stopping for Fika every 5 minutes Hmm

Hugs and snogs to all wenches in need, my brain doesn't function at the moment because of the heat Confused

chaiselounger · 01/07/2015 17:45

Happy birthday WW
