1st Driving Lesson today!

Ok so I got my first driving lesson today at the grand age of 40 something & im bricking it!!

I'm taking the easiest option, automatic as I really think this will be easier for me as I I've driven off road in a manual once & couldn't grasp the clutch/gears thing.

What can I expect from my first lesson, will I be expected to drive on the road?!!! Nerves are beginning to set in!

Just to give you some inspiration, my DM started learning to drive at the age of 65 in an automatic - and passed her test first time.

I have just had my first lesson this morning and I'm 45. I was a wreck beforehand and nervous throughout, but I survived and am actually looking forward to next week's lesson now.
