How do you know when your kids are watching too much TV?

When my kids were younger and not in school/nursery, they used to know the entire programme schedule for Cbeebies, Nick Jr and Playhouse Disney, not only did they know what was coming on next, they also knew what would be on if they turned the channel over! (I never knew they spent so long watching the bloody thing!) These days my ds can tell me, within seconds of an ad coming on, whether the insurance being advertised is indeed a 'good deal' or not! The other day he went around all his friends, and anyone within range, asking them 'what's in your wallet'! Bless, he's 3!

Mine sing 'Always cutting prices - ching, ching'and slap themselves on the bum.
Seriously... get an electrical plug in timer - they cost £3.99 in Argos. No arguments - the telly goes off on its own.

Good idea! I'm more strict now about the amount of TV they watch and have more rules about it, i.e: not at tea time etc.
