No caller id was unusual... very bad English is not uncommon...
Then "hello, we are the people who supplies your calls with BT, they do the billing..."
"erm, no."
"no, you can check online. We do the billing"
I'm thinking, OK, maybe we haven't paid the bill for a while and this outfit is chasing payment (I never pay bills on time)...
"Your last bill for 93 and then one before for 58" (I don't think so, are bills are usually bigger than that...)
"Bollocks," says I. "That's crap. Now leave me alone."
I hang up.
She hasn't called back. I hope I haven't been rude to someone I shouldn't have been rude to LOL.
Anyway, I imagine if it was a scam, she would have asked if I wanted to pay my bill or if I wanted to transfer my calls to them etc.
Just thought I'd let people know.
