Morning all
Just off out with my boys for a bike ride. Beautiful day here. I've just been enjoying breakfast in the Snug. Luurvely.
Drink - you do make me giggle when you're talking about playing. It was always superheroes here in the old days so firm ground on character roles and expectations.
Elk - ok, this is just my way and what I would do as a mother not as a healthcare pro. K?
Get some micropore (or any breathable plaster) to keep nail over the nail bed until the exposed part has hardened up a bit. Once the nail bed has been exposed a while it be less sensitive. In the meantime the old nail will most likely detach itself at the bottom and come away by itself ready for the new nail to grow.
Best not to poke or pull or you will damage the cuticle and nail bed, cue wonky new nail.
Wear Birkies round the house to give it plenty of air but a bit of protection.
Essentially, let it breathe, try not to poke it, let it 'harden off' and it'll sort itself out. Just bind loosely to protect from catching it. Using old nail 'as a shield' best.
Warning - I have a laissez faire attitude to such things.
Mouse - glad to hear he's more comfortable. Never rains but it pours eh.
