Can someone post the pretty pictures? I need to take Stupid Cat to the vet for her follow-up appointment if I can find her. I know she's feeling better because she's been out hunting and I'm not sure where she is. Oh dear....

MOOOOUUUUUUSSSSSEEEEE
Great news about the funded place, it's a tough one and I understand why mrmouse needs talking round. A lot of parents don't like a label for their child so find interventions and help difficult. Toddler mouse will be in fine hands.

All of the meet ups sound fantastic, especially the multiple cakes. [Wink]

Or Wink even.

Thank you guys. Very wanky of me to say so, but his current preschool are a bit out of their depth with him and they do need one member of staff dedicated to him. Not really fair on them (only 3 staff, probs down to 2 next year) or him. I'm hoping that this early intervention will do him the world of good and hopefully he'll be able to go into a mainstream primary when he's older. Or if not he'll be on the SEN schools books and be able to progress into the school without too much difficulty.

We watched Avengers Assemble this afternoon - much bouncing and squeaks of excitement from DS

Mouse - ditto to what Flopsy said re. the funded place, and what you've just said above.

Early intervention sounds wise mouse & if they are experienced at dealing with additional needs they will have greater knowledge of getting through the statementing process if that is needed in the future. One of my nephews had significant speech delay, but thanks to his clued-up preschool was able to start reception with a statement already in place. It's made a huge difference to him, so fingers crossed for a similar outcome for toddlermouse Smile

FancyFancy · 31/05/2015 21:36

Ooh sparks, interesting....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/05/2015 21:43

They don't do 'statements' any more. They do 'Education and Health Care Plans' But same effect - they will be more clued up to help him and get the most out of the system.

TB and I are still not talking, it's been a peaceful day Grin There's been a lot of, "Tell your mum I'm going to B&Q", and "If Daddy switched the telly down we'd be able to hear each other better" kinda stuff. Totally immature but I ain't backing down. I play this game better than him. [evil] Grin

I told the kids earlier that their dad has a black heart...his crime? Not putting my ear drops in. The kids found this most amusing!
Ds2 having an episode of his abdominal migraine I think...in
Pain and feels sick.
Sigh.
Never fucking ends.

FancyFancy · 31/05/2015 21:52

You're right helen, I should be better on the terminology than that Blush

Enormouse · 31/05/2015 21:57

Are those different to IEPs Helen? This stuff is bloody confusing. Someone on the SEN chat board pointed me towards parent partnership, which unfortunately does not exist in NI.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/05/2015 21:59

It's only that they're so new Fancy, so ToddlerMouse will go onto the EHCP - plenty of others are still on statements.

Wine & sympathy for wenches engaged in guerilla warfare with TB's Grin

DS2 has an IEP. Getting him to co-operate when he's at home is another fecking matter.

FancyFancy · 31/05/2015 22:05

Sorry cinn, saw your post & forgot to reply. Just the one ticket please. [no friends emoticon]. I could do pm or evening if anyone else wants someone to go with? But also quite happy to go on my own

FancyFancy · 31/05/2015 22:08

I still should remember helen - being a school governor Grin

MavisGrind · 31/05/2015 22:22

Right wenches, The Worlds End has, er, ended and I'm off to bed.

Hope the morning isn't too much of a shocker Flops - 7 weeks until the long hols!

AnneOfAramis · 31/05/2015 22:26

cinn just seeing if a particular friend could make it so potentially 2 tickets or can easily go with fancy which would be great.

Flopsy28 · 31/05/2015 22:33

Thanks mave, gah, back to school Sunday night feeling has landed. And who watches Grimm at 10pm just before they need a good night's sleep? A numpty that's who.

Don't worry about terminology fancy, I still call them statements and IEPs and I teach. If only the government would have a break from being wankers and stop writing new 'initiatives'. oh wait, they haven't got any........

LaComtess · 31/05/2015 22:37

Hi honey, I'm home

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/05/2015 22:42

Mouse this lot might be able to tell you who can help with advice in NI?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/05/2015 22:43

Was it good for you? Wink

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 31/05/2015 22:44

Couldn't agree more flopsy, if we could get away with an agenda item titled 'slag off latest Tory education policy for 5 minutes' we'd be so happy Grin

Yay comtess!!
