I'm trying to get onto the Cath Kidston website. \link{http://cathkidston.co.uk/here}
I can get to the home page but when I try to open any of the other pages I get this message:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

Any ideas???

I just tried it now and got in ok, dos it work for you now?

cupcakes · 10/11/2006 16:21

Still doesn't work for me and hasn't worked for a week or so.

Could someone very kindly link to one of their pages for me? Maybe it's just their homepage I'm having problems with.

cupcakes - Are you using Windows ? What browser ? Have you tried closing your browser and restarting it, closing your PC and restarting it, powering down your router (waiting 30 secs) and restarting it ? Also clear history, clear cache, clear Active X controls etc. etc. Also tick the 'Check for new page every time I visit' type of setting in some kind of preferences / options area of your browser. Also check it isn't pointing at some kind of proxy server (ie Proxy: bunch of numbers when it should probably Proxy: blank).

hth

Here's a random CK page: coats . If this has only been going on for one week has it coincided with installing / updating some of your anti-spyware / anti-virus / firewall programs ?

cupcakes · 10/11/2006 16:52

I don't know what a proxy thingy is...

hub2dee · 10/11/2006 16:59

It's just a geeky setting in your browser which tells it to check for a page on a particular server (which 'caches' / houses copies of pages on the Net) and this proxy server then sends them to you instead of you actually getting it from Ms. Kidston IYSWIM. When they mess up they can prevent you getting to the page you want. Have you updated Internet Explorer to the latest 'fix' ? Have you tried to download another browser too ?

hmmm... questions I shall have to ask dh later.
