I got this email.....I don't have a blog (I do have a website)....I am assuming it is a scam.....IS IT? (i've taken some links out - that have my name in)

Dear Blogger user,

This is a message from the Blogger Team. In order to maintain a free, high quality service, we use an automated classifier to identify spam blogs. [1]

This system has detected that your blog has characteristics that resemble spam. Since you're an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerly apologize for this erroneous result.

You won't be able to publish posts to your blog until we review your site and verify that it is not a spam blog. To request a review, please fill out the form found here:

We'll take a look at your blog and unlock it in less than one business day. Please note, if we don't hear from you, we will remove your blog within 20 days. If the blog at XXXXXX.findmessage.org does not belong to you, then no action is necessary on your part. Any other blogs you may have will not be affected.

By using automated classification systems we've been able to dedicate more storage, bandwidth, and engineering resources to users like you instead of spammers. Thanks for your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Blogger Team

WHat do you think??

Sounds like a scam to me. Especially as I though blogger blogs (the free ones at least, which is what they'd be targetting as spame) were hosted www.blogspot.com.

I suspect the link to the form is to a phishing site, or if it's an attachment then may contain a virus.

Delete, ignore.

That's what I thought

Gosh they are sneaky aren't they?

Very. Drives me nuts - I get hundreds of spam a day at the moment. Would be nice to get some genuine email for a change!

I got an "ebay" one the other day too - telling me it was a question from someone asking if something was still on offer... I was all panicky that people had been listing things through my account - until I realised that my ebay account is through a different email address!!!

Quick email to ebay later... hoax.
