We have an electronic detector in our kitchen and dh noticed earlie that it had a readin gof 10 (has only ever been 0 before). It wasn't beeping, which it does when it is too high but he called Transco who cam eout and tested everything and found no leaks etc and said that the pilot light was fine as the flame was totally blue. The reading went straight back down to 0 when dh opened the windows and has stayed there despite the heating being back on and the boiler relit. I am just so worried about it and can't get it out of my head. Logically I know it will beep if it gets too high but i still keep panicking and I know I won't sleep tonight at all.
If we turn the boiler off and everything else (no gas fire) overnight will it definitely be safe?
BTW it is a new detector so unlikely to be a problem with it.
If you don't have a detector PLEASE buy one.
