This is one of the most awful things that I have ever read. They should sack who ever came up with this idea. Everyone involved, including the birth mother should be ashamed of themselves.

It's genuinely shocking, I think, in the real sense of the word. That picture with the mother grinning and the little baby with his dummy makes me want to cry.

God. How appalling. And heartbreaking.
Seem to remember in some parts of the US they make children looking for adoptive parents take part in 'fashion shows' in shopping malls so potential adoptees can go 'Oh, I'll have that one with the plaits, please'. Sick.

I don't know what is going on with the US media. They're either being ridiculously precious about things like Janet Jackson's right breast or producing crap like this. Did you know that you can't even say the word 'boob' on US TV anymore but it seems you can make a game show out of adoption. So sad.

The actual TV station's synopsis is here . Reading it makes it sound much more like a hyped up documentary on open adoptions focussing on one parent. Still makes me feel very uneasy.
