ds sticking fingers right down throat!?

hes had some weird phases from the headbanging to teeth grinding but ds aged 2 sticking his fingers down his throat till he retches is a new on me. cant see how itcan feel very pleasant, strange child

ooh i posted the same thing about ds a while ago

seems it's quite common - they're prob doing it just to experience the sensation (?!)

ds did it for a week or two then stopped - still does it occasionally

best to ignore as much as poss

im glad hes not theonly one tutter! thanks for reassuring me.i actually did it to see what he gets out of it and its bloody awful! he grins at me after hes done it, with watery eyes where hes touched his tonsils, yuk

DS (2.5) has been doing this a bit recently. I was so shocked the first time, I reacted a lot to it and it made him think it's great but after that I ignored it and it's already phasing out. He's actually made himself sick on 2 occasions.

If you ignore, he will soon learn it's not a very pleasant thing to do.

Mine both did it too (and the teeth grinding)!
