I'm sure she wasn't just saying what you wanted to hear. Because she's been there she'll understand that there are 2 sides to everything so if she's serious about your ex (and therefore being part of you and your kids' lives) she'll want to know everything too.
Hope it all helps put that side of things into perspective so you can start to enjoy your own life more (ie not just as a mum).

She certainly sounds very open about her situation (although it doesn't explain why she seems to spend more time with your children than she does with her dd regardless of the residency issue).

Maybe she'll put pressure on ex-p to be more reasonable over maintenance now. After all, if she now knows how much he pays you for your 4 compared with how much she pays for her 1, she'll see how totally mean he is being.
