Bea - he is perceived by the other assistants as a bit of an arse and sees himself as above and the decision maker, so he won't go to their meetings last minute etc. It's just I can see the bullshit that he is feeding others and so when he tells me he is being open and honest with me I just don't buy it. This role has career potential and if I stay at this company then that is what I want, but if I go elsewhere I can work with people I like and who are good at what they do and the I don't mind being a PA because I can follow other interests which are way more interesting than any of the roles.

Yes Fancy he expects me to bull shit for him. He agreed to a meeting in front of me yesterday and then as the person walked away told me that he doesn't want to have the meeting and I should wait until he leaves and then cancel it.

However, I have just been prepping for my other interview tomorrow (not the excel one - keep up wenches) and it is for an educational publisher and I could actually walk to work if I was so inclined. They look fab and I have come across them loads and social responsibility is high up on their list.

Hm, it's one thing working with a bull shitter, but having to bull shit for him could make things awkward for you wrt other colleagues. Difficult.

WRT The Rota - it is a sacred & very complicated thing I'm afraid & basically, if you weren't here a year ago when it was drawn up you just have to use your imagination & pretend you're on it cos let's face it, if you were on it, would you give up a night? Thought not.

The 4/5 of us who are on it could tell you in a split second exactly who has which night - this is a skill I suspect may be confined to Team A though
