What do I have to send to a wedding?

That is abroad .. in the middle of November (ie 23 days away)

.. we received an invitation to it this morning .. really wasn't expecting one and also it can't really be meant if its 3 weeks away and not in this country .. who the hell could arrange to do that

anyhow its the daughter of a cousin

i would just send a really nice acceptance card saying thank you for the invite but at such short notice you are unable to arrange the time off etc etc and wish them well in their marrage life

do you think the 'short notice' comment might come over a bit snipey though?

am tempted but thinking of it it sounds a little mean
