Ok, I sold an item on the 14/10. I posted it first class airmail on the 15/10.
Having not recieved any feedback from this buyer and 2 others I sent them an email just to check that they had recieved the items ok (no feedback sets alarm bells ringing for me).
This afternoon this buyer emailed me back saying that they still havent recieved this item and didn't email sooner because they were in hospital (it is a baby related item so it could be true).

What do I do and where do I stand?
Can I trace the item with the PO even though it only went first class. Typically I have every postage reciept apart from this one. If it cant be traced and they dont recieve it, do I have to refund?

How much money was it? Would it really hurt to refund?

its a difficult one, as anyone can claim they didnt receive an item when they actually did, you may well have to refund, i dont post abroad and inland always use recorded delivery so i can prove it was received.

Did it have your return address on it? Where did it go to if you sent ot airmail and did you put a customs declaration form on it?

It was sent to Ireland and yes I did put my address on it.
It was just under £20 for the total amount so no not a huge loss.
Its just that niggling at the back of my mind thats saying its not right.
