Long distance pregnancy plans/work dilemma

It's difficult to predict or work out what to do with this situation so really hoping for some insight from mums/women who understand where I'm coming from... I've recently given up my flat to stay with my parents during the week to easily get to work in Bognor Regis (from Worthing which I loved) and have moved my stuff in with my boyfriend who lives in Woking who I stay with at weekends (and occasional week evenings). I'm 34 so moving in with the folks was a difficult choice but felt I needed to save some money (long distance relationships can be expensive in petrol!). I love my job but have been broody a long time and we want to start a family. I've just been given a promotion at work and know I'll be unpopular to reveal pregnancy! I don't know how to work out the logistics!? He owns his flat in woking but I like my job and have a close support network on the coast. He will find it hard to get a well paying job down here. will it become obvious to know what to do? I'd hate to throw away a great job but maybe I won't care later on?! I feel I need to get cracking with the baby stuff as I'll go mad having to wait longer! Any insights/opinions or experiences welcome!

My situation is sort of similar. My family and friends all live in Berkshire and I live in East Sussex.

I was living with my parents during the week and at home at the weekends for 2 years and most Wednesdays popping home for the evening.

we have just had our first child and I am currently working from home. would that be an option for you?

since having my little boy 6 weeks ago I have gone to stay at my parents a couple of times on my own and there have been no problems. also had my parents come down to see me.

I would say go for it. and iron out the problems later. as once you have little one everything will change and will make any decisions that you need to make easier as you will know what will suit you then. not guessing how you might feel.
