Here is the NZ Immigration Service nz site

When I emigrated I requested the forms and from that moment on I got newsletters and pamphlets and things every few months.

NZ has had a net loss on migration this last year which may see the points required go down. I would definitely recommend coming for a holiday first though.

Dear nicm...My family and I are in the process of applying for permanent visas for Australia.
Tomorrow we will be having our medicals...one of the last stages. It takes usually from start to finish around a year...and that is whats called 'fast tracking' if one of the skills you are applying with is on the demand list....if you want to find out if you qualify..points wize have a look at the official gov. site DIMIA...or some other sites you may wish to look at are..
Go Matilda
Aussie Move
and I use a site called Poms in Perth because we know that we will be in Perth...sometime we hope (fingers crossed) around Sept....
Hope this is of some help...Good luck...israel

thanks todlerbob and israel,

i was thinking in about 4 years or so. i'm a childminder and wouldn't want to leave the kids as they are all very settled with me, but by that stage they would all be at school so wouldn't be as bad for them.

thanks again

Hi nicm, I lived in NZ for 4 years before moving back to the UK 2 years ago. I'm sorry I don't know any websites, I just followed my bf out there. Do your research thoroughly before you go, read local papers online etc. Whatever you decide, I agree with toddlerbob, try a holiday out there first, if you can.
