dd has waterproofs from Muddy Puddles... not the cheapest site around but they are fab and their customer services was great... nice little site.

Excellent thread, was going to do this one myself. Im thinking of seperates from a fitting for longer point of view.

mascaraohara · 25/10/2006 12:31

my dd has seperates - the mac is really long so ideal for walks in the rain to the shop (where the trousers aren't ness.)

Tutter · 25/10/2006 12:31

muddy puddles smallest size is 18-24 months. ds is 17mo and although he's quite big they say the cut is generous so he'll prob be a bit swamped by 18-24m now

mascaraohara · 25/10/2006 12:32

oops posts crossed.

Tutter · 25/10/2006 12:32

blooming marvellous has this but i'm unsure about all-in-ones

puts me in ind of the octopus-into-string-bag line from that fab joke thread a couple of days ago

My ds has a jacket from Gap which is great but they don't do trousers.

I think Jojomamanbebe have good ones.

MadameMorticiaMills · 25/10/2006 12:36

H&M do fab rainclothes, that wash and wear really well, and are quite cheap too.

these do 1-2 years.

tissy · 25/10/2006 12:41

tbh, tutter, I'd try the muddy puddles ones, if you can't find anything else, as he won't be swamped for long. The cut is generous, but they are beautifully made, last for ages and are v. good value for money. Dd has a waterproof "dungaree" and jacket from them , and I'm very pleased with them.

Tutter · 25/10/2006 12:49

ah

too late i've just ordered an abeko jacket and dungarees set from the kids window

pricey but hoping it'll be good quality too

it's 1-2 yrs - if it looks as though it won't last him size-wise i'll return it and go for the muddy puddles 18-24mo ones

thanks all

I have just got some for my son I have an all in one and seperates . the separates are better for if it looks like rain but not sure as you can just put the coat and and slip trousers on if it starts to rain , where as I put the all in one on when it is raining heavy
I got mine from little Trekkers

My boys each have a Jack in a Pack from Millets. They fold up really small and fit in a little bag, so can be tucked into backpacks, etc., without taking up much room. Not sure if they do them for littlies though and my boys are 8 - 12 yo.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 25/10/2006 17:37

All-in-ones not so good for cloth nappy wearers, I can no longer get my 20m old's 1-2yr suit done up [sad.] He now has one of those Kidorable frog raincoats and it's fab (we do get chased around supermarkets by giggling staff though).

bea · 25/10/2006 17:37

for future reference... another vote or muddy puddles! absolutely fab... and don't do that sweaty thing that usual waterproofs do!!!

Greensleeves · 25/10/2006 17:39

ooh, great thread, I will be reading this with interest too

I am tempted by the Kidorable ladybird and frog ones with matching wellies

LIZS · 25/10/2006 17:45

Keela - from Little Trekkers - are great if a bit pricey jacket trousers all in one .

Tutter · 25/10/2006 17:47

i wonder if anybody has the abeko ones i ordered?

I got my dd a waterproof jacket a few years ago from GLTC and it is really well made, very thick fabric - this was in the days when they did a wide range of childrens clothes though so don't know if curerent stuff is comparable...

The only down side is it goes over the head rather than having a full-lenght zip.

LadyDooM · 25/10/2006 19:33

im sure any are fine...but useless for swan dives into mudholes...
